I’ve made my first Fenty purchase!!

I’ve made my first Fenty purchase!!

Fenty Skin has dropped and as a true member of her Navy I went ahead and ordered the Fenty Skin Start’rs which comes with the Total Cleans’r Remove-It-All Cleanser, Fat Water Pore-Refining Toner Serum, and Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturizer. Do I have it yet? No, but I have been doing my preliminary research and so far, discovered that this may work for me, but it will not be my go-to until a dry skin type friendly version is released. Still going to use it and post about it because I could be wrong. Rihanna seems to have oily combination/sensitive skin so it makes sense her product would be suitable for her skin type. Same was with the launch of the Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Long-wear Foundation, they launched with a matte formula first because it is more flattering for her skin type. When they launched their hydrating equivalent that was when I knew I could join the Fenty Beauty complexion party. I feel, that will be the same situation here. Give it a couple more months and the line will expand to cover more skin types and skin issues.

I have learned that the Total Cleans’r uses gentle surfactants (cleansers) to do the actual cleaning of the skin with added benefits from Acerola cherries for vitamin C, which promotes brightening of the skin and Ginkgo Bilboa for healing benefits.

The Fat Water is a toner serum hybrid that helps your pores look tighter and control oil production while delivering ingredients to your skin that help reduce dark spots.

The Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen is a 2-in-1 moisturizer and sunscreen that is said to be lightweight, oil free and truly invisible on all skin tones. I will be the judge of that! I am waiting to receive this to do a proper top 10 of rich skin tone friendly sunscreens, so stay tuned!

All of this sounds wonderful and I cant wait to get my goodies and try this line out for myself!

What’s on my Skinn?

What’s on my Skinn?

Summer has arrived and its HOT! It’s also still icky out there but by now we have found ways to still get out, enjoy the weather and stay safe. With the change in weather my skincare routine has changed. Nothing too drastic but I have been using something new to me and I am loving the results.

This month while on a Target run, I picked up a new face wash. The La Roche-Posay Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser. Its great for dry to normal skin types and leave my skin feeling soft, supple and moisturized after use. It cost around $14.99 and is considered a “clean” beauty product. I love it.

Other than that, I have not purchased anything new thanks to my Boxycharm subscription. I have considered posting what I get each month since they do send some rather good products for a very reasonable subscription price. I guess be on the look out for those.

What is something new you have been using since the change in season?
