When the creativity block finally melts away…

Last month in my boxy charm I received two eye-shadow palettes. The Festival 2.0 palette by Pur Cosmetics and the Glam palette which came from a collaboration between Manny Mua and Morphe. I was having a bit of a creativity block when it came to makeup but, the other day I sat in front of my vanity and felt inspired. Below is the look I created using the Festival 2.0 palette:

Hello
Festival 2.0

There are 12 pressed pigments. Four shimmery, three metallic, and five matte shades. These pigments are buttery smooth, easy to blend and very vibrant. I appreciate that they put a mirror in the palette making it easy to use. Sucks festivals are post-poned because this palette would’ve done the festival scene some soft justice.

BoxyCharm Premium Box July 2020

My premium box has finally arrived and while I am happy, I will admit that this box was a little, meh. Nothing really grabbed my attention upon opening the box. Now don’t get me wrong these are some nice items, but I can probably blame my criticism on my recent project which as me doing product packaging analysis on these types of products. Upon opening everything though I must say again, these are some nice items!!

My Boxycharm Premium box July 2020 contained:

boxycharm premium edit

Morphe- Morphe X Manny Mua Glam Palette MSRP: $20.00

Byroe- Bitter Essence Toner MSRP: $95.00

Folly Fire- Matte Manipulation Trio MSRP: $39.99

Laura Geller- Line-N-Define Dual Dimension Eyeliner MSRP: $24.00

Kenia Ontiveros Beauty- Blush & Shine Kit MSRP:$42.00

Boxycharm- Neon Jelly Pouch with Pom Pom

I’ve been looking forward to getting the Bitter Essence Toner since they did a reveal over on their Instagram page. I’ll give it a month to see how it truly works but I can say it is rich and slippery like squalene. It smells great and works well with my other products.

The pouch is cute and could fit everything I received but I honestly don’t need any more pouches after a year long subscription to Ipsy. It was cool but trial size of basic products did not appeal to me anymore. The pouches were very cute.

The Folly Fire- Matte Manipulation Trio swatches well and are really cute.

Once I break through this creativity block, I may play in my makeup, but I am currently big on my skincare and how those products work. The Morphe X Manny Mua Glam Palette is verryyy cute!! The shadows are nicely pigmented and the highlighters are nice.

The Kenia Ontiveros Beauty- Blush & Shine Kit is a blush kit. Its beautiful but does not stand out to me. The packaging is nice.

As for the eyeliner its a felt tipped liner, dual ended with a golden highlighter stick on the other end.

Overall it was a nice box. Maybe I’m temporarily over makeup or its just the packaging, but I do look forward to my august boxes!!
