An essence is a concentrated formula that specifically targets wrinkles, fine lines, and dull and uneven skin tones. Typically, it is thicker than toner but thinner than a serum. They have benefits like that of a serum but a lower molecular weight making it easier to penetrate deeply into the skin the active ingredients.
WHEN TO USE THEM?
When I do my skincare routine I add in an essence after applying my toner or right after cleansing.
This month’s Boxycharm theme was Bubbles & Glitz a nod to the new year and the glitz and glamour associated with that day. In my luxe box this month I received a nice mix of makeup and skincare products, I even got a teeth whitening kit! Easy to say I was overall pleased with this month’s premium and luxe box selections although I recently found out a Huda Beauty palette was an option, and I did want to try that.
